Memory and context: keeping the useful details

Understand what to remember, how to inspect it, and when a piece of working context should change or disappear.

Useful continuity begins with accurate context. Praxa can carry remembered details about your work into later conversations, while giving you a place to inspect and correct them.

Keep facts that will help again

Stable preferences, project context, people, decisions, and open loops can help the next request start with less repetition. Be specific about the detail and where it applies. A writing preference for one project should not silently become a rule for every kind of work.

Try a request like this
Remember that project briefings for this team should start with the decision needed, then include the supporting sources and open questions.

Inspect and correct the memory

Open Memory to review saved entries. Add a useful fact, correct a detail that is wrong, or remove one that no longer belongs. Revisit project context after a major decision so later work does not continue from an outdated assumption.

Understand the boundaries

Memory is working context, not automatic access to every document or account. Health and camera data do not enter memory, and secrets such as passwords and API keys are excluded. Team channel context stays separate from members’ personal memory and private connections.

Decide when memory should be off

Turning memory off stops both new memory writes and reads of saved memory. You can still supply the context needed for a particular request directly in the conversation. Choose the setting that fits the work, then review saved details when you return to using memory.

Put it to work.

Copy a request from this guide, add your details, and start a conversation with Praxa.
